It
was a memorable night on Sunday, the 15th
February, 2004 when the Award Giving Ceremony
of Compass 2004 was held at Oberoi Grand.
Amongst the distinguished dignitaries present,
there were Dr. GD Gautam, Principal Secretary
Information Technology Government of West
Bengal. |

Top brasses of LG, the sponsor of Compass
2004, and Seagate, the sponsor of the award
nite, noted OEMs, Distributors, Channels partners
and of course the members of Compass graced
the occasion. The program was live telecast
through multimedia and digital video presentation
for the first time in the history of Compass. |

Another
unique feature of the award nite was IMRB
surveyed awards. This year Compass got the
IT products and brands, distributors and OEMs
surveyed by the eminent Research organization
IMRB whose representatives reached the organizations
all over eastern India in person, and made
the survey. Based on their survey and recommendations,
awards were given away. The results pf the
awards are given as below. |

| The
program was entertainment packed with fashion
show, dance, music, song etc. These made the
breaks for the long award ceremony. Participants
of Compass 2004 were given away awards for
their stalls (small, medium and large separately)
and the Value for Money New products for 2004
in Hard and Software. The judges were drawn
from the industry and not from within Compass. |
