Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Computer Association of Eastern India (COMPASS), we strive to maintain transparency and fairness in all financial and membership transactions. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the guidelines regarding cancellations and refund eligibility for membership, event registrations, sponsorships, and other payments made to the association.

1. Membership Fees

  • All membership application and renewal fees are non-refundable once the payment has been processed and approved.

  • In case of rejection of a new membership application by COMPASS, the paid amount may be refunded after deducting applicable administrative or processing charges.

  • No refund will be issued for early termination or discontinuation of membership by the member.

2. Event Registrations

  • Event registration fees are generally non-refundable unless stated otherwise in the specific event terms.

  • If an event is cancelled by COMPASS, a full refund will be issued to the registered participants.

  • If a registered participant cancels their attendance:

    • 7 days or more before the event date: A partial refund may be issued after deducting administrative charges.

    • Less than 7 days before the event date: No refund will be applicable.

  • Requests for event cancellation must be submitted in writing to info@compassindia.com with valid payment and registration details.

3. Sponsorships and Advertisements

  • All sponsorship and advertisement bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable once confirmed and payment is received.

  • Exceptions may be considered only in case of event cancellation or mutual agreement with COMPASS, subject to written approval.

4. Payment Errors and Duplicate Payments

  • If any duplicate or erroneous payment is made, the payer must notify COMPASS within 7 working days by email with proof of the transaction.

  • After verification, the excess amount may be refunded or adjusted against future payments, at the discretion of the management.

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds (if any) will be processed via the original mode of payment or via bank transfer within 15 business days from the date of approval.

  • COMPASS is not liable for any delays caused by banking systems or intermediaries.

6. Force Majeure

COMPASS shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, governmental actions, or technical failures. In such cases, refund decisions will be made at the sole discretion of COMPASS.
